The Outbreak Dream Match

The Dream Royal Rumble!

With this being the time right after the Royal Rumble, I decided to do a Dream Royal Rumble. I selected some of the hottest stars of today, and a few stars from years past as well, to compete. In all, there are 30 men, and they will enter at two minute intervals. Some may wrestle with past characters. For instance, Scott Hall is Razor Ramon. Also, I really did randomly draw these guys, as hard as it may be to believe.

None of the competitors have anything important to say, so we go to the ring, The Fink has the mic. "Welcome to the Dream Royal Rumble. You all know the rules, so let's get to it! Here is the man who drew number 1, 'The All-American', Ron Simmons!" Simmons comes down, and he doesn't look too happy about being number 1. "And the man that drew number 2, 'The Heartbreak Kid', Shawn Michaels!" Shawn's music plays as he dances his way down to ringside. He comments on how he won it with the number 1 draw before, so he can do it as number 2.

Simmons doesn't allow Michaels to even make it into the ring, as he attacks immediately. "The All American" has his way with Michaels for the first minute, before Shawn is able to gain the advantage. As the 10 second count starts, Michaels attempts a cross-body block, but Simmons catches him and almost throws him out. With that, participant number 3, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, hits the ring. He stands and watches for a few seconds as Michaels, now on the apron, throws a few right hands at Simmons. Then, as Shawn re-enters the ring, Austin takes his head off with a huge clothesline. Then he turns his attention to Simmons, who has his back turned. "Stone Cold" pounds away on Simmons, and he picks him up, throwing him at Shawn Michaels. Austin picks up Shawn off of the floor and puts him in position for the Stone Cold Stunner. Surprisingly, he hits it and Michaels is out cold. Austin doesn't attempt to throw him out, though, he instead goes for Ron Simmons again.

With that, the 10 second count begins. Austin grabs Simmons and sets him up for the Stunner. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper comes tearing down the aisle and breaks it up. He and Austin trade blows for the entire two minute period. Meanwhile, Simmons and Michaels are dueling with each other. Shawn spends most of that time avoiding elimination. Finally, the 10 second countdown begins. Austin almost has Piper out, until Simmons makes the save. With that, Sting enters the ring. He goes after Austin and has his way with him. The other competitors are resting and watching, until Piper joins Sting. Simmons goes to join as well, but HBK cuts him off and they go at it again. Piper soon shoves Sting as he wants Austin to himself. That causes Sting and Piper to start fighting, while Austin gets some much needed rest.

The 10 seconds are counted down, and Lex Luger joins them, forearming Austin. Then he goes over and catches Piper with a high knee to the back. That turns things in Sting's favor, so he tosses The Rowdy one over the top and to the floor. Luger is a house of fire as he nails Simmons with a double axe-handle, and then clotheslines Shawn Michaels. As he goes to throw Simmons, out, Austin clips his knee. That prompts Michaels and Austin to go at it, with Austin having the upper hand. Sting goes after Simmons, and then helps Luger up.

Ricky Steamboat joins the fray after two minutes, and he, like all of the other competitors before him, goes after Steve Austin. As he begins his assault on "Stone Cold", Shawn Michaels comes out of nowhere and superkicks Ron Simmons to the arena floor, eliminating him. Michaels then bumps into Steamboat, so they come to blows. Sting and Lex Luger then begin to work on Steve Austin. "Stone Cold" is really helpless for the first time in the rumble. Meanwhile, Michaels has Steamboat on the verge of elimination. Luger, with Sting's help, gets Austin up in the Torture Rack as Barry Windham slowly strolls to ringside. Luger's knee gives out and Austin falls. Sting is read as he starts to put Austin over the top. Luger gets up and helps. Then, Barry Windham, who hasn't entered the ring yet, comes over and pulls the top rope down. Austin tumbles over the top, but lands on the apron. There, he reaches under the bottom rope and pushes Lex Luger to the floor. Luger is stunned, and starts yelling, "What happened?" to Sting and Windham. As Luger is ushered away, Windham attacks Sting, who was still looking at Luger. Windham pounds away, as he is much fresher than the helpless Sting.

Stone Cold again rests in a corner, pondering who to attack next. Steamboat and Michaels are still going at it, and they are trading holds. Austin soon decides to involve himself with these two, but at the 10 second countdown, Steamboat comes flying off the ropes, hitting Austin with his patented Flying Cross-Body. Suddenly, Ahmed Johnson hits the ring and attacks. He first takes out Sting with a shoulderblock, and then corners Barry Windham with a flurry of kicks and punches. He slams Austin's head into Michaels's head, and then clotheslines Steamboat. Johnson has the crowd going nuts as everyone but him is down. Ahmed doesn't waste much time, though, as he goes back to Windham and attempts to throw him out. He isn't successful, but continues to try for the next two minutes. Sting almost eliminates Austin, and Steamboat is oh so close to getting Michaels out. Neither succeeds.

Finally, Mankind squawks his way down the aisle, but is ambushed by Steamboat and Michaels. HBK backs off as he is tired, so Mankind and Steamboat do battle. Mankind gets Steamboat in the Mandible claw, but Ahmed makes the save. Johnson and Mankind then go at it. The other grapplers keep going around bashing each other, not fighting anyone in particular.

Everyone stops what they are doing as Yokozuna enters the ring, looking bigger than ever. As Yoko stairs at everyone, Shawn Michaels attacks him, but gets knocked down quickly. That prompts everyone else to go after the 600+ pounder. They almost get him out, when he stuns everyone and tosses Barry Windham out with one hand. The other competitors are dumbfounded for a second, but then continue to try to eliminate him. Finally, the 12th man, Sid, laughs his way to the ring. He leaps up onto the apron and steps in. Then he bounces off the ropes and delivers a big foot to the face of Yokozuna, which is enough to eliminate him. Michaels comes out of nowhere and dropkicks an unaware Sting, sending him over the top rope.

Sid is on a rampage as he chokeslams Rick Steamboat, and then Steve Austin. Ric Flair is the next man to enter, and he takes his sweet time making it to the ring. Flair goes after Steamboat when he enters, and then just goes around picking his spots. Nothing else happens, until "Macho Man" Randy Savage runs to the ring. He and Sid begin to battle, but soon Shawn Michaels comes over and starts something with Savage. Austin goes at it with Flair, and Ahmed Johnson is almost thrown out by Steamboat.

The 7'4", 520 lb. Andre the Giant is number 15. He enters the ring and throws Ricky Steamboat out by the hair. Ahmed attacks Andre, but an elbow, a simple elbow, knocks Johnson over the top and to the floor. Mankind flies at Andre, but he too, gets caught. However, he is able to put the Mandible claw on Andre, who drops to the mat. This only faised Andre for a moment as he is able to break free. He and Sid then look face to face as Bret "Hitman" Hart enters the ring.

Bret goes after Austin, and Flair and Savage are beating the crap out of each other. Michaels has Mankind under control as well. All eyes are really on Andre and Sid though. Andre swings at Sid and hits, but Sid just laughs as he swings back. Everyone continues to trade blows until the equally big Giant enters the ring(I know, he isn't really as big as Andre, but according to WCW he is, so we are gonna pretend like he is too). All hell breaks loose. He chokeslams and eliminates Mankind. Andre then eliminates Sid. The Giant tosses Bret Hart and Steve Austin out, but only through the middle ropes. Andre headbutts Savage, who is then thrown out by Flair. Michaels and Flair bail out via the middle ropes.

That means 4 men who are still in the Rumble are on the outside, just watching as Andre The Giant and The Giant are staring each other down. The finally come to blows and knock each other down. The others begin to fight on the outside. The Giants reach their feet and get each other on the ropes, trying to eliminate one another. That's when Hulk Hogan enters the ring and tries to throw out both of them. However, Flair, Michaels, Hart, and Austin re-enter the ring and throw both Giants and Hogan out. The Hulkster is ballistic as he was only in the Rumble for about 45 seconds.

Terry Funk prematurly comes to ringside and beats on Hogan. The Giants fight all the way back to the lockerroom. Funk continues to hit Hogan with chairs and whatnot, as the official time for him to enter the Rumble comes and goes. The refs finally separate Funk and Hogan, so Funk enters the ring. He and Hart start brawling. Austin and Michaels are fighting again, while Flair is resting.

Suddenly, Sabu runs down the aisle and enters the ring. He goes after Funk immediately. They are doing some great brawling, and Hart is ever so close to eliminating Michaels. Number 21, Razor Ramon, joins the fray next. Ramon pounds away on Bret Hart, and then goes after Michaels. Hart gets back up and amost elimates Sabu and Terry Funk. Finally, Mr. Perfect enters the ring. He and Flair battle for the full two minutes.

Funk is now going at it with Austin, and Ramon is almost eliminated by Michaels. The two minutes seem quick as "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes becomes a part of the Rumble. He starts off with a huge elbow to Flair's head. Rhodes goes nuts as he and Perfect doubleteam Ric Flair. Suddenly, Perfect turns on Rhodes and they go at it. Bret Hart has once again gone to battle with Austin.

The commentators note that Michaels has been in for nearly 44 minutes, and Austin nearly 42. Flair has been in for about 20 minutes, and Hart about 14. While they are jabbering, Sabu hits Michaels with an Asai moonsault, and "Ravishing" Rick Rude strolls into the ring. He nails Flair, who had been resting, and nearly throws him out. Meanwhile, Mr. Perfect sneaks up behind behind Razor Ramon and is able to throw him out.

Not much else happens until number 25, The Undertaker, enters. Terry Funk attacks hime as he isn't intimidated. Sabu isn't either, so he joins in. Everyone finally decides to help Funk and Sabu as the countdown begins.

The Undertaker is almost out when Diesel catches everyone's attention. He enters and it appears he is going to help out with eliminating The Undertaker. Instead, he attacks Dusty Rhodes. The Undertaker is now free thanks to Diesel, and he goes after Rick Rude. Big Daddy Cool eventually sees Funk bounce off the ropes, so he puts up a big foot, knocking Terry over the top rope and to the floor. Michaels, who looks exhausted, has a little something left as he is getting the best of Mr. Perfect. Steve Austin, however, is being choked down by the much fresher Undertaker.

The ring really starts to fill up, because the next competitor is the man they call Vader. There are now eleven men in the ring, but not for long. Vader disposes of Rhodes, and The Undertaker tombstones and throws out Rick Rude. Hart nearly gets Austin as well. Flair goes after Vader, but realizes it is a mistake. Vader attempt to throw him out, but he able to catch the ropes.

The 28th man is the house of fire, The Ultimate Warrior. He attacks Vader with a few shoulderblocks, and finally knocks him down. Sabu tries to moonsault onto Diesel, but gets caught, and almost thrown out. No one gets eliminated, though, so Bob Backlund enters to make the number of men in the ring 11 again. The commentators note that Backlund holds the endurance record at over 60 minutes. They then note that Michaels is at 56, and Austin 54. The only thing that really happens in this two minute period is that Diesel almost gets Flair about 3 times.

The last man with lucky number 30 is The British Bulldog Davey Boy Smith. Out of these 12 men, the first to go is Bob Backlund. Flair gets him out with a clothesline. Next, The Ultimate Warrior attempts to clothesline Vader out, but Vader moves, and Steve Austin pulls the top tope down. Therefore, the Warrior goes over the top and to the floor. Finally, Diesel and Vader come face to face. They battle, and during it all, Diesel accidently knocks Mr. Perfect out of the ring.

Soon, Shawn Michaels breaks Backlund's endurace record. Right after he does, he gives Vader soom sweet chin music, sending him out of the rumble. Sabu stuns everyone by then catching Michaels from behind and eliminating him. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin is unable to break HBK's new record, though, as Hart finally eliminates him.

The 6 men left are Flair, Hart, Sabu, The Undertaker, Diesel, and The British Bulldog. Diesel is able to eliminate The Undertaker, with a little help from The Bulldog. The Undertaker is really dissappointed, but leaves the ringside area. Sabu tries to hit a springboard plancha, but Bret Hart is ready and he knocks Sabu off of the ropes. The Bulldog is thrown through the second rope by Flair, who then follows him out.

Hart is hurting pretty bad when Diesel hits the Jackknife on him. He then throws Hart out. He thinks he has won, because he doesn't know that Flair and The Bulldog went out through the second rope. However, he is able to figure it out as Flair tries to sneak attack him. He turns and backdrops "The Nature Boy" over the top.

It's down to Diesel and The British Bulldog. The battle for a little over 3 minutes until Diesel is able to eliminate The Bulldog with a big boot to the face.

The winner of the Dream Royal Rumble is Big Daddy Cool Diesel!
